Sukses Carly Rae Jepsen dari Canadian Idol ke Chart Musik Dunia

Kontestan Canadian Idol Top 3 ini tidak main-main, buktinya langsung melesat di No.1 di Canadian Chart, Australia, Selandia Baru, Irlandia dan minggu ini di UK Top Chart (8 April 2012) meskipun sebelumnya di US hanya sempat mentok di posisi 10 Billboard Hot 100. 

Cewek kelahiran tahun 1985 dari Mission, British Columbia, Kanada ini mematahkan dominasi kalau US dan UK atau bahkan Australia selalu menjadi barometer musik dunia buktinya Carly dari Kanadapun dapat mematahkan dominasi itu dengan singlenya "Call Me Maybe". Bahkan Justin Bieber, bocah yang mulai menginjak dewasa yang juga berasal dari Kanada pekan ini juga mulai melempar single anyarnya "Boyfriend".
